Since its inception, the WMMT has been operating as a mobile museum; attending as well as sponsoring numerous veteran events, historical exhibits, air shows and parades. These activities have thus far exposed the museum to hundreds of thousands of people. Now it is time to make the next step and settle into a permanent and publicly accessible facility.

After a two year long feasibility study, the City of Lakewood, WA has been selected as the host community for the museum.  A minimum of 15,000 square feet is needed to house the collection, public exhibits/facilities and restoration activity.
